When one looks at the Flores Sea from a bird's eye view, they'd see a mixture of colours. A mysterious, shiny, turquoise colour with a tinge of light. The reason there's a shiny turquoise colour is because coral reefs cover the tiny islands in the Flores Sea. The white shell that covers the coral reflects light through the water.

The larger, green islands have a lot of vegetation, but aren't inhabited. The dark green colour stands out from the black sea.
